Does Banking in Indonesia tend to be Concentrated?

The banking in Indonesia has undergone several changes in the market structure that ultimately impacts the prevailing policies and regulations. This study aims to examine the impact of changes in the banking market structure identified through the level of market concentration in the banking environment and examine the factors that influence the level of concentration of the banking market from 2005 to 2016. The study also examined the impact of changes in banking structure during the global crisis. The measurement of banking concentration used in this study is the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI). Furthermore, the influential factors consist of: (1) Bank specification, including bank size (Size), credit risk (NPL), profitability (ROE), banksoundness(CAR),(2)Market specification,namely the number of standingbank (NUM), and (3) Global crisis. The study used GLS (Generalized Least Square) method to detect autocorrelation on each variable.The results show that banks in Indonesia tended to have a low level of market concentration. The results are also in accordance with the SCP paradigm which states that banks tend to generate high profits when the level of banking market concentration is high
Success of Management by Objectives (MBO) Extracurricular Programs Based on Participation of School Committees

This study aims to identify the importance of implementing Management by Objective (MBO) school extracurricular programs based on the participation of school committees in channeling students' talents and interests by acting right brain functions and developing students' creativity, as well as developing students' psychomotor domains. This study uses framing analysis and analysis of the MBO method, namely SMART. The result of framing analysis is that MBO will succeed, if there is a collaboration arrangement between the school and the school committee based on the school's vision, mission, indicators and objectives, as well as the motto of Jakarta 68 High School is Discipline, creation and achievement. SMART's analysis results are the implementation of extracurricular programs at State Senior High School 68 achieving positive results in developing students' creativity by using psychomotor aspects and the role of school committees based on five dimensions is specific, measurable, acceptable, reality, and time bond.
Extraction and Antioxidant Activity Test of Black Sumatran Incense

Benzoin absolute essential oil is a high-value oleoresin derived from the dried sap of the Styrax benzoin tree. One type of Styrax benzoin traded in Indonesia is black Sumatran incense. Reflux extraction method with ethanol is used to gain the benzoin absolute essential oil. The purpose of this study is to investigate the antioxidant activity of benzoin absolute essential oil produced using ethanol reflux extraction. Antioxidant test showed that black Sumatran Incense has active antioxidant properties with IC50 value is 90.03; the antioxidant activity shows potential alternative utilization of this essential oil industry, especially those derived from incense resin and its derivatives.
Determination of LC50 value of Nicotiana tabacum L. extract against Gryllus bimaculatus imago and Galleria mellonella larvae

Replacement of synthetic pesticide with natural pesticide is highly demanding because it is more environmentally friendly. Tobacco is majorly exploited for cigarettes production. Therefore, it needs to be developed for other alternative products, one of which is insecticide due to nicotine content and other toxic compounds. This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of tobacco as an insecticide for Galleria mellonella and Gryllus bimaculatus. The raw material used in this study was the leaf extract of Nicotiana tabacum L., var. Virginia that was obtained by Ethanolic Heat Reflux Extraction (EHRE) technique. After testing on the insects, LC50 values were 36.6 mg/ml for Galleria mellonella and 38.5 mg/ml for Gryllus bimaculatus.

PRAKATA Alhamdulillah, buku Keterampilan Mendongeng dapat selesai atas nikmat dan rahmat dari Allah swt yang telah memberi kekuatan dan nikmat sehat kepada tim penulis untuk menyelesaikan buku ini. Walau dalam penyusunannya mengalami berbagai hambatan, semoga dapat dijadikan semangat untuk menerbitkan buku berikutnya. Buku Keterampilan Mendongeng penulis buat sebagai rasa cinta kepada anak-anak Indonesia dan rasa peduli penulis kepada orang tua atau guru agar memberikan cerita terbaik untuk anak-anaknya. Walau sebagian orang mengatakan mendongeng itu sulit, semoga melalui buku ini menjadikan mendongeng itu mudah. Mendongeng tidak hanya ketika menunggu malam hari, ketika mengantarkan anak-anak kita tidur, tetapi mendongeng dapat dilakukan kapanpun dan di manapun. Buku Keterampilan Mendongeng ini berisi materi media dan waktu mendongeng, teknik Prakata | i ii | Keterampilan Mendongeng menulis cerita, dan teknik mendongeng. Pada media mendongeng, akan diuraikan media buku dan nonbuku yang digunaka untuk mendongeng, baik menggunakan boneka, gambar, atau papan flanel. Buku ini juga memberikan wadah bagi orang tua atau guru yang suka mendongeng tetapi sulit mendokumentasikannya. Wadah tersebut adalah teknik menulis cerita melalui cerita sehari-hari yang didengar, dirasakan, dan dilihat bersama anak, sehingga dapat dijadikan pesan moral yang bermanfaat. Selain itu, buku ini juga memberikan teknik mendongeng dengan suara besar dan suara kecil, kemudian gestur dan mimik ketika mendongeng. Semoga buku ini membawa manfaat bagi pembacanya. Penulisan buku ini tak dapat terealisasi tanpa dukungan, motivasi, dan doa dari berbagai pihak. Penulis ucapkan kepada Rektor UHAMKA yang telah memotivasi penulis dalam penyelesaian buku ini. Dekan dan para Wakil Dekan FKIP UHAMKA yang telah memberikan ruang dan kesempatan kepada penulis untuk berkreativitas. THE INFLUENCE OF ACADEMIC CULTURE AND TASK COMMITMENT TOWARD LECTURERS’ INNOVATIVENESS

This study aims to investigate the academic culture and task commitment toward lecturers’ innovativeness. Quantitative survey methods were adopted. To collecting the data, a questionnaire and path analysis were used. Two hundred fifteen lecturers at several universities in Jakarta (Indonesia) participated in the study. The results indicate that many academic cultures positively give direct influences to lecturers’ innovativeness, and task commitment positively gives direct influences to lecturers’ innovativeness. The study concludes that training and mastery of the use of media are needed to improve the competence and innovation of lecturers in conducting scientific research.

For animal breeding and veterinary medicine it has proposed new dimensions with the continuous growth of modern biotechnology. To discard any possible genetic disorder i t ultimately permits to consequently and detect through genome analysis of important breeding species. It can also detect more reliably and easily the infectious diseases. With improved productivity and health it opens the possibility to generate animals with the production of transgenic livestock and it introduced a less time taking program of breeding.
Determinants of e-cigarette use among a sample of high school students in Jakarta, Indonesia

Objectives The aim of this study was to determine the predisposing, enabling and reinforcing factors associated with electronic cigarette (ecigarette) use among high school students in Jakarta, Indonesia. Methods This cross-sectional study took place in eight high schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. A total of 767 students were recruited by multistage cluster random sampling. Bivariate and multivariate statistical analyses were employed to determine the associations between sociodemographic, predisposing, reinforcing and enabling factors and e-cigarette use. Results Respondents were 54.1% male and the mean age was 16 years old [standard deviation (SD): 1.02]. In this sample, 32.2% of students (n = 247) had ever used e-cigarettes and 11.8% of students were e-cigarette users (n = 90). Several measured factors were positively associated with e-cigarette use, including: current smoking of conventional cigarettes [odds ratio (OR): 2.06]; perception that e-cigarettes are less addictive than conventional cigarettes (OR: 1.98); perception that e-cigarettes do not cause cancer (OR: 2.38); parental acceptance of e-cigarette use (OR: 3.80); and having enough money to buy e-cigarettes (OR: 3.24). The only variable found that was negatively associated with e-cigarette use was teacher’s use of e-cigarettes (OR: 0.34). Conclusions This study found that student social influences, perceptions about and accessibility to e-cigarettes were significantly positively associated with e-cigarette use among high school students in Jakarta, Indonesia. This study highlights the importance of educating students, their parents and teachers regarding safety and potential health hazards of using e-cigarettes. Efforts to implement and enforce youth access restrictions on e-cigarettes in Indonesia are crucial to preventing further uptake of these products.
EXOGENT FACTORS AT PT. METRO TARUNA JAKARTA THAT AFFECT EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

This study aims to determine the effect of training and work discipline as exogenous factors on employee performance at PT Metro Taruna Jakarta. The 82 respondents as a sample and data analysis and process techniques used are validity, reliability, descriptive analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, multiple linear regression analysis, simultaneous test, coefficient test, and correlation coefficient of determination. Based on the results of data processing Correlation and Determination Coefficients, the nature of the relationship between training, work discipline and employee performance is affected, because the correlation coefficient is 0.910 and the coefficient of determination r2 = 0.824 or 82.4%, meaning 82.4% variation or change in employee performance variables is the contribution of the influence of training and work discipline variables, while the remaining 17.6% is contributed by the influence of other factors such as compensation, workloads that are not comparable to payments, lack of motivation, high levels of work stress, low levels of promotion and others.
